With recent landmark federal progress allowing Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) physicians to recommend medical cannabis, the medical community agrees: cannabis is a vital tool for managing PTSD, chronic pain, and service-related injuries. However, federal changes take time, and state registration fees and out-of-pocket costs still burden veterans on fixed incomes.
Smoakland's vertically integrated infrastructure and proprietary delivery network — spanning over 50+ cities — ensures that eligible veterans will receive their medicine discreetly, safely, and completely free of product costs.
How The Program Works
- Step 1: Get a Recommendation. Consult with a doctor to get a standard medical marijuana recommendation.
- Step 2: Get Your Official County MMIC. Bring your recommendation to your local California county health office to get your official state Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMIC). (Bonus: A county-issued MMIC exempts you from the California Sales and Use Tax!)
- Step 3: Upload and Verify. Submit a photo of your valid military ID/DD-214 and your county MMIC to our secure portal below.
- Step 4: Monthly Free Delivery. Receive one ounce of premium Smoakland X cannabis flower delivered to your home every month for the rest of 2026.
